Beautiful Thoughts...

Its been 136 days of 2011. And 136 days of my lapse in posting. Its a seasonal thing I supposed. Yesterday nothing happen but for the heavy down pour which literally brought my balcony down!

2011 starts with such a melodramatic phase save for a couples of heart warming occassions. On 29th January 2011, met with friends from Sixth former days. 6 of us managed to turn up for a breakfast do in Ampang De Palma Hotel. The hotel was chosen for only one reason, Our dear friend Hazlina Abdul Aziz. It is the nearest to her abode and there were only 5 walk up steps or a very short walking distance from the lift to the coffee house. She has a heart problem. It was a great reunion after nearly 30 years, and we planned many more to come. However, for Hazlina, it was the first and the last, she passes away peacefully on wednesday morning, 4th May 2011. May your soul rest in peace my dear friend.

As usual, I spent my Chinese New Year holidays in Terengganu, an east coast state facing the South Chinese Sea. My hostess is my sis, living in Kuala Terengganu which is more of a scholar town bordering the airport. It was a great relaxing break, but i lost 1-4 in scrabble game to my little nephew. We had a beautiful tasty BBQ-ed chicken which was out of this world. My sis' chicken pie and mushroom soup were superb and I think I put on several kilos. There goes my 2011 resolutions!

Beautiful Memories

Greetings and Happy New Year... Welcome 2011, good bye 2010...

2010 breezes through with some hiccups, tears, sweat, (no blood was shed, thank God) changes and many beautiful and fond memories planned, created, documented and will be replay over and over again.

Started the year with a blast, moving office on 27th January with 2 big lorries and hundreds of boxes which we've accumulated over exactly 16 years in Wisma Cosway, KL. All went well except for my 300kg Chubb Save! What a load.

I changed my car from a sedan midnight blue to a sporty silver in May, drove less than a week and I am off to Mecca for my Um rah with my sister, bro-in law and their son.
It was a very humbling experience and am grateful that I was able to set foot into the 2 holy mosques again. We welcomed a new member to the family, my nephew's daughter, a beautiful girl who was born the day I landed in Madinah, Saudi. Encountered a tense moment passing through Saudi immigration during departure.

Celebrated my birthday in July in a low key celebration without a bang.
Enjoying Ramadhan in August and found me progressing nicely, Alhamdulillah. Celebrating Eid with a blast and organising open house on the 2nd day with all of my invitees (my clan) present, enjoying delicious Yemen chicken rice, baked macaroni, fruit cocktail puddings all courtesy of the chef, my beloved sister, Sam.

Then October came and November go. December was pretty hectic with all last minute activities marked here. Sis went to German, another went to Australia. In between one nephew attends his convocation at my Alta mater, Uitm, another broke his arm and my niece and nephew (the odd twins, born 21 days apart) sat for SPM examination.
Christmas came and I took my sis' family to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial for a cultured adventure before off shooting (really, we missed the turn, and I am the navigator) to Bukit Jalil Sports Complex to buy all things Malaysia football memorabilia. The boys bought the new Harimau Malaya jersey for RM115 and I bought a cap @ RM18. That sunday, 26th Dec, Malaysia won 3-0 over Indonesia.
Went to Batu Pahat, Johore on 28th and Malaysia won on aggregate 4-2 in Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. Go, Harimau Malaya! Shopping in Air Hitam on 29th and bought me some strings of deco fruits. The PM declared Friday, 31st a public holidays and disrupt my very year end things to do.

Need help for my kilos, and visited a doctor at last on 31st. Scale read 101kg! Bought carrot cheese cake for my sis' get together year end BBQ. BBQ-ed chicken was the tastiest I ever ate. Compliment to the boys, Kamal, Kamil, Iqmal, Aiman, Ezwan, Fazli & Ehsan. The food was great, the ambiance was inviting and the people were beautiful, hey they are my clan.
I've to say that it has been a good year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
